I found "A Billion Eves" fell apart halfway through, once the backstory was presented (there wasn't enough misdirection for it to be interpreted otherwise, so I took it as Teh Troof). A large group of modern-day women is suddenly kidnapped by one person and they...idolise their captor in all their histories?!

Give me the Swanwick story any day. But I wasn't voting (:
