So tired
james_nicoll
Came home to a massive blackout thanks to this.

No power, no CPAP. Brain filled with gravel today.

Also posted at Dreamwidth, where there are comment(s); comment here or there.

Would an uninterruptible power supply be a useful addition for your CPAP?

Yes. Also cats that didn't go nuts when I went to bed early. I can take the beard-pokers and the compulsive groomers but the eyeball-gleam pouncers make it hard to sleep.

They clearly need an interruptible power supply. Have you thought about robot cats?

I think Charlie Stross had some advise on that front...

I find that sleeping in a semi-upright position seems to reduce the issue with sleep apnea when I can't use my CPAP. It certainly has helped when I had issues with bronchitis.

Whether the cats would allow you to sleep in that position is another story.

first thought seeing that picture....

"There can be only one!"

Putting up a lightning rod that large produces some pretty impressive photos.

I remember one photo from 1980 or so that shows the CN Tower being hit by three bolts simultaneously.

(The guy got it by using a movie camera and filming the entire storm.)

We were lucky and only had a brief power flicker.
